This one-of-a-kind handmade leather bald eagle was created to celebrate the strength, freedom, and enduring spirit of America through traditional leather craftsmanship. Every feather, every stitch, and every brushstroke was completed entirely by hand, resulting in an original work of art unlike anything else in the world.
Crafted from 139 individual pieces of premium vegetable tanned leather, this extraordinary sculpture required more than 30 hours of hands-on craftsmanship, including nearly 13 hours of detailed hand painting and over 11 hours of hand stitching. Even the flowing American flag is handcrafted entirely from leather, then carefully wet molded to create the illusion of movement in the wind.
Mounted to a stained pine plaque and ready to hang, this eagle is designed to become the centerpiece of any office, lodge, home, ranch, or patriotic collection.
Original Artwork
This sculpture is titled Freedom Takes Flight, commemorating the enduring spirit of America and created during the nation's historic 250th Anniversary of Independence (1776–2026). As Original Leather Art No. 001 by Cherokee Rose Custom Leather, it is the very first piece in my Original Leather Art collection.
Your sculpture will include a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting its title, creation date, materials, craftsmanship, and originality. To further preserve its provenance, the reverse of the stained pine plaque will also be personally hand-signed, dated, titled, and numbered by the artist, permanently identifying this sculpture as Original Leather Art No. 001.
No additional sculptures will ever be created in this exact design and finish, making Freedom Takes Flight a truly one-of-a-kind collectible work of leather art.
