Handmade Leather Dachshund Purse – Black & Tan Wiener Dog Handbag

This playful handmade leather dachshund purse brings plenty of personality along with enough room for all of your everyday essentials. Shaped from nose to tail like a black and tan dachshund, this little dog is equal parts functional handbag and conversation starter.

Handcrafted in the Cherokee Rose Custom Leather workshop, the purse is made from sturdy 5/6 oz vegetable-tanned leather. Each leather component is precision cut before being individually hand dyed, assembled and completely hand stitched.

The rich black body is accented with warm tan markings created with English Bridle leather dye, giving this pup the unmistakable look of a classic black and tan dachshund. Dimensional construction creates everything from his long muzzle and floppy ears to his short little legs and, of course, that signature long wiener-dog body.

A full-length zipper runs along the top of the bag and opens to an unlined natural leather interior. At approximately 4 inches wide, there's enough room inside for everyday necessities such as your phone, wallet, keys and other small essentials.

Two leather handles make this a fun little handbag that's ready to accompany its new owner just about anywhere.

A New Maker in the Cherokee Rose Workshop

This dachshund purse was handcrafted by my fiancé, who has been developing his leatherworking skills alongside me in the Cherokee Rose workshop. While I offered a little advice along the way, he took this pup from start to finish himself—including dyeing every piece of leather and completing all of the hand stitching.
