Hand Stamped Deer Track Leather Roper Wallet – Light Brown & Black

Made for the outdoorsman, hunter, or anyone who prefers their Western leather with a little bit of the wild worked into it.

This handmade leather Roper wallet starts with genuine vegetable-tanned leather, hand dyed in a warm light brown finish that lets the natural character of the hide show through. A contrasting black border frames the deer tracks, while a natural leather accent band wraps across the lower portion of the wallet.

That band is where this one gets its personality.

Individual deer tracks are stamped by hand into the natural leather, surrounded by subtle textured stamping that gives the accent panel depth without overpowering the design. Black hand-dyed lines above and below the panel create a strong contrast and visually tie it into the dark interior.

A traditional decorative border is also stamped one impression at a time around the exterior, giving the wallet a finished Western look while keeping the overall design clean and masculine.

Black machine stitching and dark finished edges complete the exterior.

Inside, the wallet is constructed with black textured pigskin leather, chosen because it gives you the strength and feel of genuine leather without adding unnecessary bulk to a long wallet.

The traditional Roper-style interior includes:

Made With Genuine Leather

Real leather has character.

Natural grain variations, subtle color differences, scars and other markings can occur throughout the hide. Rather than trying to make handmade leather look factory-perfect, I allow those natural characteristics to remain part of the finished piece.

As this wallet is carried, the vegetable-tanned leather will continue to soften and develop additional character and patina unique to its owner.

Hand Stamped — Not Machine Embossed

The design you see on this wallet wasn't printed onto the leather or created from a sheet of pre-embossed “Western” material.

The exterior began as plain vegetable-tanned leather. The decorative border, deer tracks and surrounding texture were all created by hand stamping the leather one impression at a time before the piece was dyed, finished, assembled and stitched.

It gives you a quieter design than one of my fully tooled or carved wallets while still carrying the unmistakable character of traditional handmade leatherwork.
