This handmade leather clutch wallet features an original hand-carved Western floral scrollwork design across the front flap, surrounded by a hand-tooled border painted in shades of turquoise and green. The natural carving is antiqued to bring out every cut, bevel and detail against the rich brown leather background.
The body is made from rustic oil-tanned leather with natural pull-up, markings and character that will continue to develop with use. Turquoise stitching runs throughout the wallet and ties the entire design together.
Open the snap closure and you'll find three convenient card pockets, a roomy cash pocket, and a turquoise zippered coin pocket lined with Southwest-patterned fabric in shades of blue, gray and red.
The removable wristlet was made from vegetable-tanned leather, individually stamped and machine stitched in turquoise thread, then lined with soft turquoise pigskin suede for a comfortable feel against the wrist.
And the tassel makes this particular wallet even more special. The black horsehair used for it came from my daughter's own paint horse and was finished with a small Western concho—a unique little piece of our East Texas life worked right into the finished wallet.
