Hand Carved Floral Turquoise Leather Zippered Wristlet Wallet

This one is all about the color.

Made from a beautiful turquoise leather with a distressed finish that shifts into rich coppery tones as the light moves across it, this one-of-a-kind zippered wristlet has plenty of Western character before you even get to the hand tooling.

The large front card pocket is made from vegetable-tanned leather and completely carved and tooled by hand. Western scrollwork surrounds a collection of individually painted flowers in shades of yellow, purple, pink, green and soft pale yellow. Antique copper accents and bright yellow stitching bring everything together without overpowering that incredible turquoise leather.

Open the brown zipper and you'll find a fully lined interior featuring black fabric scattered with white feathers.

I finished the wallet with a removable leather wristlet attached with a swivel snap and added a long yellow pigskin-suede tassel for one more pop of color and movement.

A Note About the Leather

One of my favorite things about this leather is its variation. The turquoise surface has a naturally distressed appearance with lighter turquoise and coppery areas that become more noticeable as the leather moves in the light.

Those variations aren't flaws—they're part of what gives this particular piece its character and make it impossible to duplicate exactly.
