This one-of-a-kind leather checkbook cover is built around a rich Black Cherry finish, created with Fiebing's Black Cherry leather dye. The deep plum-burgundy color shifts beautifully with the natural character of the vegetable-tanned leather.
Three large hand-carved feathers sweep across one corner of the front, individually painted in three shades of turquoise to create depth and variation through the feathering. Natural-toned carved accents provide warm contrast against both the turquoise and Black Cherry background, while a decorative hand-stamped border finishes the design.
Open it up and the color story continues.
Rather than using a plain lining, the interior pockets are constructed from genuine purple croc-embossed cowhide leather, creating a dramatic textured interior in shades of purple and black. Natural leather at the center provides contrast and flexibility at the fold.
The entire piece is finished with dark stitching and hand-finished edges.
